  • My sister and I were staying in Derry (from the states) to see where our great-grandmother was born and raised. We happened into Patricia’s on a quest for coffee but ended up staying for breakfast and a chat. The scrambled eggs and toast were filling and well prepared. The coffee was so needed and came out quick. We had a lovely chat with Patricia and Shauna (sp?)! They gave us wonderful recommendations, great caring advice and were genuinely curious about our life in the states right now. It is obvious that all of the food, sweets and drinks are made with love and care. We felt genuinely welcome and had a wonderful experience. Thanks again to these sweet ladies- who sent us out the door with delicious lemon cake (pictured) and well wishes. Go visit Patricia’s and support this wonderful shop!

  • Me and my mum and baby boy were in yesterday morning and the food was so tasty and so well priced but the main star was the scones- they were UNREAL!!! I love a good scone but these have to be one of the best I've ever had! I had the treacle and walnut and strawberry and white chocolate and they were so good even a day later!!!! Most places have the scones sitting out in the open with people coughing over them but these were behind the glass and were so fresh with so much choice-definitely recommend and will be back!

  • We were visiting Derry for a 2-3 days. We had a nice breakfast there and, thanks to the reviews, absolutely had to try a scone. So glad we did, because my boyfriend said it was one of the best scone of his life !!! The staff was so nice, we heard them greeting the clients by their names, they are so lucky to live around here . We came back the day after for lunch (and for more scones...) and were very surprised the ladies remembered us. The food is really delicious and they were so patient and helpful with my complicated diet. They made me a beaufitul and yummy salad, as i can't have carbs. A real and beautiful gem in Derry , i wish you all the best !!!

  • We had breakfast and coffee this morning at Patricia’s Coffee House as we we‘re walking by on our way to the bus station. When we were about to leave Patricia (?) came out and we had a very nice chat with her about weather and lovely places. We told her that we’re from Germany and heading to Galway now by bus (5 hours drive) so she walked in and gave us a little bag with some of her delicious bakery. It was so cute and we will for sure never forget this love and kindness.

  • Absolutely love this coffee shop on Queens Quay in Derry! Patricia and her staff are so friendly, welcoming & look after you really well. There’s a fab outdoor space if it’s nice outside or, even if there’s a few wee Irish rain drops, no worries the outdoor space is completely covered. The food is delicious, especially the speciality scones, also the breakfast & filled baguettes. Highly recommend a pop into Patricia’s, you’ll feel at home instantly and will be treated to great coffee & great food.

  • Patricia, Shonie and Leonie at Patricia’s make you feel so welcome and prepare really great food that makes you feel right at home. The stories are the best. I felt like I was sitting in the kitchen of my home enjoying a tasty home made breakfast. It’s pleasant to be by the water with a view out the window of the River Foyle and the Peace Bridge regardless of the weather.
